I knew about Pharoah for quite sometime, but never did get any of his music. After I saw the Bill Laswell video - Sooundstage with Bill Laswell Axiom Sound System Musical Freezone (this concert premiered on PBS July 13, 2006), which featured Pharoah on sax, I decided to check out some of his more recent works produced by Bill Laswell. On his "Save Our Children" album, there were a few good tracks, for me Far Off Sand and Kazuko sounded very nice, very Laswellian. The same video also featured Buckethead, man, he can play! Not just guitar, but nunchucks!!
